The Story

2002
Originally called S Club Juniors were formed in 2001-2002 via S Club Search. The band was created just to support S Club 7 at their Wembley concert in February 2002. About 10 000 hopeful boys and girls, aged between 11-14, showed up and S Club 7 had some major trouble picking 7 out of them. But, as the kids were so talented, 19th Management picked 8. The lucky ones were Franchesca Sandford, Calvin Goldspink, Daisy Evans, Stacey McClean, Rochelle Wiseman, Jay Asforis, Hannah Richings and Aaron Renfree. They weren't offered a record deal or a music career, but when their first single "One Step Closer" hit #2, it was decided. They released their first album "Together" in October 2002. It went to #5. The band released 4 singles off Together - One Step Closer (#2), Automatic High (#2), New Direction (#2) and Puppy Love (#6).

2003
When S Club announced their splitting in April 2003, S Club Juniors were renamed to S Club 8.
After astonishing breakthrough with their first album, the band spent the summer of 2003 in studios recording new songs for their upcoming second album "Sundown". Their last album so far (that's going to change soon) reached the stores on 13th Oct 2003 and grabbed 13th place in the Hit40UK Top 40 Chart. It features singles such as Fool No More, Sundown, Don't Tell Me You're Sorry, which are all recognized as masterpieces of S Club 8.
